Hope you’re having a happy end to the year with your loved ones. In this post, we’ll recap Superteam’s 2022, one month at a time.

Thanks to Yash A, Yash B & Yash C (can’t make this up) for their contributions in compiling these individual updates through the course of the year.

January

We started the year with a community GDP of $100k.
To help members learn, we announced the Solana India Fellowship & partnered with Questbook to help you Start on Solana
Superteam members gave the bots a run for their money and flooded the Solana Cookbook with contributions. We shipped a billboard in their honour.
To help members earn, we launched Missions. These are freelance contracts for either an individual or a team to complete. They’re designed for work that is more complex & a higher $$ value than bounties.

February

We launched the Superteam Talent Network to help you find work in web3. You can join 2500+ smart folks & sign up here.
Members spawned “Lurkers Got Talent” as a way of identifying those willing and able to work and inducting them into Superteam.
The first set of missions was awarded,
1. Airdrop Notification Service 🔔, led by 0xBhaisaab, Ajinkya Shinde, akhil_bvs, AbhiKumar98, Akshit
2. Superteam Impact Dashboard 📈, led by Kunal, Ishika, Akshit
3. No Code NFT Launchpad 🍭, led by Syed, Kunal, Yash, Anmol
Members won 5 grants & bounties,
And finally, members shipped three projects ;
1. Dis Wallet (a discord tipping bot)
2. Attend.bio (POAPs)
3. A Solana development series

Members submitted 7 projects to the Riptide Hackathon,
1. Wordcel: A decentralised publishing stack on Solana (Web3 track winner)
2. Slide: Helps DAOs on Solana to manage transactions & reimbursements easily. (2nd place - DAOs track)
3. Wagmi.bio : Built on Solana, it’s a one-stop gateway for receiving payments.
4. DAO Talents Club Aims to connect talent within and outside DAOs.
5. FitSol: Encourage folks to remain fit through fitness challenges on Solana.
6. Bounty Bot: Organizes the Web3 bounty ecosystem, in a transparent way
7. Locus: A Web3 community collaboration/ project management tool.
8. CoinPe: Enabling users to use USDC to make UPI payments in India.
We announced FTX Superteam, an experiment to combine capital & community creating a unique crypto-native accelerator.
An eye-watering total of 14 grants and bounties were awarded, including Metapass, De Plan, a Bounty Bot & an Instagram post masquerading as an essay about working remotely in crypto.
Kash published a timeless essay on working in web3.
Oh, and community GDP cruised past $200k

Since most of our members are in high school, we adhere to summer vacation schedules.

We did host Brian Armstrong on the podcast,

May

The first Solana India Hacker House was a blockbuster success with over 600 builders & 78 projects submitted.
We partnered with Chingari to launch a $100k grant program & pioneered the Community Advisory Board format.
Members won a total of 15 bounties, grants & missions from sponsors like CoinDCX, Hyperspace, Incento, Friktion, Chingari, Crowdpad, CapX, Filecoin, Cropbytes, etc.
7 Superteam members went full-time crypto,
1. Cogoo joins Solana in Developer Relations.
2. Anmol Kumar joins Crowdpad as a Product Designer.
3. Dr. Prakash joins Chingari as a Lead AI and Blockchain Architect.
4. Anmol Maini joins Stytch as an Engineer.
5. Rahul Bhadoriya joins Polygon as Lead Brand Designer.
6. Pratik Saria joins Metaplex as Community Developer.
7. S Kiran joined Cykura as a Full Stack Dev

OSS contributions across DeFi & xNFTs,
Three projects shipped to mainnet,
1. Truts.xyz💡: A Web3 community discovery platform.
2. Locus.so🛠 : Community building tool for Web3 (Beta).
3. Wordcel ✍️: Decentralised publishing stack (Early Beta).
Members won a total of 9 grants & bounties from sponsors like Wordcel, Filecoin, Switchboard, Chingari, etc & for projects like StellarSol, etc. And most importantly, the Superteam Intern was spawned.

July

We partnered with the legendary Johnny Lever, to launch a sign-up video for the upcoming Solana Summer Hackathon
Members won a total of 5 missions (Solana Pay market research & Honey Finance Dev) & Grants (CandyPay, Solana Vision & Solace Wallet)
4 Members went full-time crypto,
1. Rahul Menon joins Thirdweb as a Product Manager.
2. ddude joins Wordcel as a developer.
3. Mohnish Isaac Kariappa joins IndigGG as Community Ops lead.
4. Yash Chandak joins Huddle as Technical Content Writer.

Members submitted 13 projects to the Solana Summer camp hackathon: CandyPay, D-Hire, Metapass, SolStore, Bounty Hub, StellarSol, Cricinshots, Stream-RTC, Proto, Ohana, Raid, Solace & Truts.
Commenced the University program, a way for any engineering college to introduce their members to Solana.
